Tips to shoot Jewellery

Jewellery photography is also one of the interesting photography genres. Which required a lot of safety procurement from the Photography point of view. It also contains a lot of alertness, safety measures, handling issues, travelling hassles etc. But no worries, It is part of the photography business. Jewellery photoshoot also contains a lot of post-processing challenges if not handled and not taken care of professionally then it creates a big disappointment for the photographer as well as for the client too.

Even jewellery manufacturers or company, they also prefer experienced and famous pro photographers and hardly allow the freshers. But No worries, most manufacturers also look for low-budget beginner photographers. This world has space for everyone.

I am sharing a few important tips to follow if planning to shoot jewellery.

Preplanning - If you are going to jewellery first time then start practising shooting your own jewellery at your home and studio. Edit them and check them professionally. Never jump to shoot any jewellery assignment without preplanning and practising.

Location - Always try to shoot at the client's location to shoot, and create a compact studio to shoot only at their location. Avoid shooting at your location because of safety issues. Avoid travelling with jewellery.

Concerned person - Always have the client's concerned person, who can take care of all the jewellery and may avoid any mishandling.

Clean the jewellery - Have a habit to clean all the jewellery right from the shoot's beginning. Clean gently or ask the concerned person to clean the jewellery correctly as per the shooting requirement

Light Tent - Light tent is a good option to shoot jewellery and it gives really good results. It is a small and inexpensive piece of accessory that can transform your jewellery photos into a better look and feel. Be creative with good composition, and add natural things, and models to the jewellery shoot. Shoot with confidence and bring out the best of it.

Post-Processing - You must carry good post-processing skills to correct the photo's error. If editing fails to correct jewellery shots then get ready for the RE-Shoot. Reshoot is a nightmare. Must avoid it.

Keep experimenting! Have wonderful and happy photography life to you all.
