Choose to make a photograph then taking a photograph.

We have two categories of photography. One is, who takes the pictures. The second is, Who makes the photograph. There is a big difference between taking a photograph and making a photograph. It is a very interesting discussion about making a photograph rather than taking a photograph. Some selfy lovers always take a photograph from their upgraded mobile phone and share it with friends & family for fun.

What about taking Photographs - Taking a photograph means you take out your camera, DSLRs etc and shoot the scene, and subject as it is looking to you. There are no creatives added, no extra pain, no extra content, no planning, and no technical consideration for a better photograph. They only shoot only for the fun and It is just a fun-loving activity not more than this. This category proclaimed their mobile phone is better than DSLR photography but it is just a MYTH.

What about making photographs - Making a photograph means you add better content to the photograph.

  • You add people in the travel photography
  • You choose the clean the background
  • You choose the better framing
  • You know about editing
  • You have strong technical skills too
  • You understand your camera and its strength
  • You never shoot without thinking
  • You think first and then you shoot
  • You understand the light, better light and poor light
  • You know when to shoot horizontal and verticle
  • You have different creative aspects etc

There are many differences between taking and making photographs. Now it depends upon you, In which category you would like to come. You are ready to take challenges or just take photographs for the fun. Here I would like to mention that making a photograph is an ART and It takes a lot of pain, patience and then it shows the power of better photography. If anybody is looking to shoot a better photograph with a casual attitude then I must say, they must quit photography as soon as possible. Photography demands your time, creative aspect, knowledge, pain and patience, and investment too. If anything misses out on the mentioned points above then you are wasting your time seriously.

Conclusion - Believe in yourself, and start making a photograph. It takes pain but no pain no gain.

Keep experimenting! Have wonderful and happy photography life to you.
