Beginning for the Macro photography

Macro photography is one of the favourite subjects of the beginner because macro photography introduces the extreme close up shot of the insects, flowers and other smallest living or non-living things etc where the insect and other sizes look bigger than the actual size of the subject. But macro photography always requires aesthetic as well as technical aspects. But I tell you if you find the interesting macro subject to shoot then nothing like this. 

The important advantage of macro photography, you do not need expensive photography gears like other photography genres required. You can start to shoot with 35mm, 50mm lens along with the basic DSLRs. So you donot need to worry at all. There are a few important tips to follow to shoot better macro shots. 

Let's discuss macro photography's tips to shoot better. Here I am not including composition techniques, aesthetics, framing, camera setting etc (already mentioned in the previous blogs)
  1. Must carry extra flash to shoot, because it requires to bring out the smallest details. 
  2. Must have a good tripod to shoot, sometimes hand handled may shake the photograph. 
  3. Go for the creative shot but always try to shoot simple. keep it simple always
  4. keep the clean and blurred background, its bring out the subject so well. 
  5. Must bring out the smallest details, which hardly seen with the naked eyes. 
You may find different places to find out the insects etc if possible bring those insects in a bottle and try to shoot at your home with full of photography treatment. I have always observed that when you are shooting macro outside then It is so difficult to focus and they hide under any available things like a leaf etc, bringing them at your studio table and this will give you full freedom to shoot, but you have to leave back those insects safely to their place, we should not misbehave with them. 

Macro photography does not mean to shoot only insects, but there are other things that are available in the smallest sizes, only you need to explore them. 


I tell you one important thing to understand, once you are capable of shooting macro photography than shooting big sizes subject will be easier to handle and shoot. Everything starts from scratch and this scratch can leave a strong impression on your viewers. But on the other hand, a majority of photographer avoid shooting macro because it requires strong patience to handle smallest subject. 

But here I suggest, one must start with macro subject, which will definitely groom you for better photography.
