Better tips to use the TRIPOD

The TRIPOD is a most important tool or accessory of the photography like its work as a tyre of the car. If the car does not have good quality tyre then It is obvious that your journey may suffer. If you are looking for pro-level photography then must invest the good money in buying a good tripod. There is always a good tripod behind every stunning photograph that I must tell you. Maybe, in the beginning, you may not afford to buy a good tripod then I must suggest you NOT to buy the cheap tripod because buying cheap tripod will be responsible for spoiling all your photographs and which cannot be affordable. Save money to invest in a good tripod because It is a one-time investment.

Once you have a good tripod then its a beginning of good photography career. Let discuss a few important tips to use a tripod in a better way. How to capture pro-level photographs.

Maintainance comes first - There is a small toolkit which always comes along with the tripod to maintain, to fix, to adjust etc. Keep that kit along with you or in photography kit while shooting because sometimes tripod requires little fitment or adjustment to shoot long exposure shots.to shoot in low-level light situation etc.

Must carry extra weight - Addition of extra weight to the tripod. It always helps the tripod not to shake and stabilised the tripod, sometimes you use heavy lenses to shoot and extra weight support the tripod to stabilise. It is really helpful and always gives you better sharp shots. I suggest always have little weight in your photography kit.

Leg angles- Keep changing the leg angles to shoot from different angles like low angle shots. One must make this habit to try always new angles.  Sometimes photographer hardly changes their tripod angles, always shoot with the same angles for so long and your viewers may feel little boring. So please avoid shooting at the same angles or repeating angles.

Know Your locations First - When you are going for the shoot then you must know your location in advance like it is near the sea, it is full of sand, It is on rocks etc. Because on the basis of location's knowledge you have to take extra care for your tripod and need to carry extra accessories to stablise the tripod.

  • Suppose you are shooting in the jungle or sand dunes and it is full of sand then you must carry small cardboard to place under the tripod legs/feet to stabilised otherwise it keeps on sinking in the sand and cannot stabilise at all and can scrap you shoot. small cardboard can be developed at home easily. No extra cost
  • If you are shooting near the sea then you must know that seawater contains salt and can give rust and corrosion to your expensive tripod and that may kill you tripod entirely. In this case, you need to rinse the tripod immediate after the shoot with tap water, bottled water etc. Must write these small things in your to-do list while shooting near the sea or any location.
  • When you are shooting on a hard and smooth surface than your extra weight holds the tripod to stabilise and never allow to slip off from the surface. Slipping may cause blurring images.
Tripod Bag - You must have a good tripod bag and that should carry all the extensions, tool kit, you can add extra weight, cardboard and other important things which support the tripod only. Sometimes it comes with a bag too but always you must have a good tripod bag that can travel safely in any case and can carry the weight easily.

Tripod's new feet - Nowadays, you can buy tripod feet according to the shooting location, requirement etc and which can be fitted to your tripod's legs and works efficiently. Find out in the market and if found suitable then there is no harm in buying. Please see below-posted image (extra feet) (Courtesy- Google)
