Sometimes, hate to hear!

It's been almost 10-12 years of working as a professional photographer, worked successfully for so many renowned, medium segment and small clients. thanks to all for giving me a great opportunity. Today I am writing this article based on the interaction with the clients which often takes place before the shoot or moreover Its a deep discussion where clients guide photographer to shoot as per their photography knowledge. That advice from the clients sometimes I hate to hear. It is a tough time for all photographers to respond to the clients.

I am sure, every professional photographer must have gone through this situation. The beauty of this situation is to listen and follow the photography tips from your clients, which is sometimes very hilarious. It purely depends upon the photographer's intellectual knowledge to convert a client's opinion into the right direction of photography. Please never ever try to teach your client but share your correct knowledge to make him understand your point of view very clearly.

Let's discuss the few things that every photographer hate to hear.
  1. You shoot tomorrow, no planning is required
  2. Bring your camera now and shoot a few products
  3. Shoot in JPEG, because we want in JPEG, NO RAW Formate required
  4. Do not edit the photo because we want no change
  5. If you use my camera than can you discount me in the pricing
  6. I have a camera, big lights in the plant, you come and shoot, No need to bring your camera and light and give me a good discount.
  7. Please copy the same angle, same style of my competitors. Please do not use your creatives. ( I hate this to listen)
  8. Allow me to shoot also when you shoot, I wanna learn
  9. How many Megapixel does your camera have, I have the same megapixel camera on my mobile? can u use my mobile to shoot?
  10. You have a professional camera that why you capture better photographs.
  11. No time for cleaning the plant, machinery, interiors, exteriors etc, you clean the plant when you edit.
  12. You shoot and No permission is required for DRONE photography. I will handle the legal issues.
  13. We do not issue a proper purchase order.
  14. Can u deliver the final images tomorrow, we need it very badly for our upcoming events.
  15. If we do not like the photos than can u reshoot?
There are endless points, the endless baseless discussion always happens but no way out. We must know to manage all the things before planning a shoot. Every profession has an annoying misconception, every human always underestimates another profession finer nuances, It is just because of their little about your profession. No issue everybody is right at the point of view and our motto will be to correct their little knowledge, misconception in the right direction.

Keep experimenting and have a wonderful and happy photography life to you
