Redevelop your street photography skills

When you are hungry and you don't wanna eat the same stuff or the same food at the moment. In this case, you explore something new taste or new food to eat. But You found out different food from the same cook.  This article is about the same topic. You have already shot the street so many times, But, This time you are looking different subject in the same street. How you can re-motivate yourself to be in the same location to shoot the different subject along with the different photography equipment.

You have to reinspire to shoot the new subject in the same street. That's an amazing job for a photographer.

Let's discuss the few some important points where you can redevelop the interest to shoot the new subject and new thought in the same street or same location.
  1. Make a list of the captured subject which you have already shot in the same street.
  2. Make a list of older weather condition in which you shot last. Means you shot in daytime
  3. Go through all you older framing, composition, content covered etc
  4. Which lens you used last like prime, zoom or macro
  5. Which subject you ignored in the street, which was least appealing.
Once you are done with all the last work covered then now your job is to find out the subject which was not covered. Start thinking for a new project like mentioning below
  • You shot food but never shot cook,
  • You shot vehicles but never shot a driver's life.
  • You shot the tea but never shot the making of tea
  • You shot the building but never shot the road
  • You shot the people's face but never shot the group photos.
  • You shot with the zoom lens but never used the prime lens
  • You shot the people buy never shot the hand movement of the people.
There are endless subjects you are ignoring from so far and never ever noticed to shoot, but now you have to go back and hunt for the ignored subject and captured the different subject with new zeal. This time you have to shoot the new subject with all different thought, lens, timing, weather, model, content etc.

Every day you noticed something interesting and every day you ignore something more interesting.

It is you who is responsible for both the jobs. Now select one ignored subject and go back to that location and reshoot with not the same lens. Start using different lens to capture the different subject. I am sure you will find a more interesting subject.

Remember one thing, Photographer's lime is limited but photography subject are unlimited. You need to have strong photography eye to observe new thing every day and moment.

Keep experimenting and have wonderful and happy photography to you all.
