Personality of a photographer?

Image
I have always faced this question " What personality traits do photographers have" Beginners often keep asking this question like what makes the photographer different from other people, what kind of attitude he must carry on.   According to me, every photographer creates a different known space in the world of photography by adding his creatives, different thoughts, a different aspect etc.  "Photographers need to be artistic, meaningful communication through his photographs, original creative ideas and all he expresses his true expression. He is well able to influence others"  A few important things need to be followed by all the photographers. He need not be conventional. Must work in a professional manner and convince others with his creative photographs Must respect his photography kit and always keep maintaining the kit because sometimes your maintained kit also express your passion.  He must pursue a good character and behave nicely, professionally. He mus

Hand-Handled wildlife shooting

Image
I always mentioned in my blogs that every photographer must carry or use a tripod for a better photography career. but here some things are pretty opposites that I ever mentioned in my blogs. There are few photography genres were carrying a tripod is a headache, unnecessary accessory etc. Wildlife photography never allows a tripod to carry and use. Carrying a tripod for wildlife photography may create some issues. let discuss those issues when carrying a tripod.  Tripod's issues  Carrying a tripod is an extra weight on your shoulder, which may make you tired soon A tripod can distract you to capture animals, birds and other species Sometimes you do not get a better place to settle your tripod fixing and unfixing a tripod consume more time, energy and sometimes you spend the whole day adjusting the tripod.  A tripod hardly supports you to capture better shots in wildlife photography. Well. when there is no tripod required to shoot wildlife animals then hand-handled photography

Capture PORTRAIT in the natural light.

Image
As I always preferred and advise to shoot a portrait in natural light. I always admired natural light as my favourite light for the correct, great and impressive exposures. Here I would like to mention that portrait shoot in natural light creates MAGIC and Marvellous Photographs. But there are end numbers of beginner photographer always scares of HARSH Light and other un-controlling situation. But if someone is looking for a better career option in photography then controlling the situation is your win-win situation and will elevate you for the better photographer. There are end numbers of excuses are given by the photographer to avoid portrait in natural light. Let's understand the excuses. Who will take the location's permission to shoot? Model's Protection issues for the outdoor shoot? Who will handle other public, who may interrupt the shooting?   Handling photography equipment and other accessories are a headache Heat may spoil the model's make-up etc every time

Observe, Shapes & forms in photography

Image
Shapes & forms are quite interesting and confusing topic to understand. But it is highly in-depth content of the photography. I am sure hardly a photographer ever discuss this topic to understand photography better. Every scene contains both shapes and forms because everything is a mixture of both, which is more interesting for a photographer that matters for him to capture. Let's discuss both the concept in little details to clarify the confusion of both. Shapes -  A two-dimensional ( length, breadth but no depth)  outline of the subject or object that you capture. Light coming from the front and fall off on the subject, make more flat and two-dimentional image. See the below-posted image, an example of a two-dimensional image. Forms  - Forms is also connected somewhere with the shapes, A three-dimensional ( length, breadth, and depth .)  aspect created by lights and shade is called forms whears as light falls off on the subject from right, left side or sometimes light f

Better Composition, Better Photograph

Image
There are endless techniques, tips, creatives, light's condition, framing and composition, photography equipment, locations etc to create one good photograph. Every content is equally important to photography. But there is one important content is called COMPOSITION, If this content is not treated so well then the entire photograph can be spoiled. Must view other photograher's composition and feel the difference.  What is photography composition - How do you arrange all the elements in the photograph to capture. Combination of all the existing element and put all together beautifully/creatively is called a better composition. I must mention here that all the beginner photographer are never worried about composing the scene, all of them are in hurry to capture or keep on pressing the shutter button. There are special classes on photography composition in the advanced courses of photography. Photographers spend a hell of a lot of time finalizing all the important element in

Professional Vs Hobbyist/freelancing Photography

Image
Professional Photograph (Sample- My shot) Hobbyist/freelancer Photograph (Sample- My shot) What is the difference between a professionally shoot and a hobbyist/freelancing shoot? Both of this option carrying one thing common that is photography and the rest is all uncommon. I have always interacted with lots of my clients. They are always asking me to shoot and when I discuss all the requirement before the shoot or preplanning of the photoshoot. My client always ask why all these things are required? They suggested that I should come along with the camera and shoot quickly, delivered the photographs to the clients on the same day. But for a professional photographer, it is not possible.  The reason behind this attitude, They always got their job done by the hobbyist photographer and Hobbyist photographer are not having any professional attitude, they are only doing these shoot only for pocket money, they are not concerned with post-processing, preplanning etc even they are not wor

Be creative & convey better messages

Image
Being a photographer or when we start photography, In the beginning, we look forward to having better equipment, better location, better techniques, better teachers, better, exclusive, beautiful and impressive subject etc. We had already the mindset that only a beautiful subject can be looked beautiful in the photographs or only the celebrities can be looked beautiful, dashing etc in the photographs. We spend lots of time, energy and sometimes years to find out the better subject to shoot. Due to this habit or attitude most of the photographer dilutes and never become a better and creative photographer. Here we need to change our fixed mindset. Somebody quotes " Photography is an art to convert normal and ugly subject to beautiful subject" In my humble opinion I too agree with this quote. I wish every beginner photographer must believe in this if they are looking better future in photography.  Let's discuss a few important points to become a more creative and better ph

A LIVEview always a better option

Image
There are two things that are inbuilt in a DSLR camera, One is a viewfinder and the second one is a LiveView to preview the images before the shoot. Handling viewfinder is a little difficult as handling LiveView because for viewfinder handling you have to hold the camera and check the preview, it may shake the camera and sometimes you get a blurry image whereas in the case of LiveView, you have to fix the camera on the steady tripod and check the preview and shoot and there is no chance of shaking. A big difference between both options.  In case using the viewfinder, you do not need to switch ON your camera, whereas, in the case of using a Liveview, you need to switch on your camera to preview the shot, technically speaking live view option means,  lifts the mirror, open the shutter, light pass-through the sensor and entire image preview land on the camera LCD panel.  Now this gives a preview of the image and then you decide to shoot if the shoot is convincing to you. It is the be

Look down to explore interesting content

Image
Finally, whenever we are out to shoot, most of us try to explore the content which is visible in front of our eye level. We try to shoot wide-angle, we try to shoot a close shot of species, we try to capture those which is highly far away from us. We never notice or explore the things which are near your footstep. We never notice those content that is fallen down, which is on the road, land etc. Because we never ever cultivated the habit of LOOK DOWN to find out the interesting content.  This topic is about to look down to shoot. Let's discuss this interesting topic. Be strict to look down to shoot - Plan a day to shoot, finalise the photography kit and Shoot those content that is near to your feet, on the road, on the land etc. make sure you do not shift your focus from down to up. Be strict to your plan and shoot by looking down, exploring down. Once the shoot is done you may found the better content shot for your photography portfolio. see the below-posted photograph which
