The Myth about Photography Career

Whenever you start your career in any stream then there is always a possibility to meet those people who may advise you bitter to better options. Sometimes you meet those people's expert advice, those are not expert in the same career in which you like to pursue. There are hundreds of examples you may get to deviate you from your target job, dream job, dream business etc. Sometimes your own parents may insist you joining their business, In India, there are lacs of examples where the son has joined their parental business forcefully. Sometimes children do not have options too.

When I started my career as a photographer, I went through the same phases of trauma. There are many people who do not support you, sometimes they do not even listen to you. You have only one option left, Listen to everybody and choose your choices. Let's bring out those obstacles when you start your business.

Obstacles
  • Waste of time and energy, Photography has no future
  • The market has full of photographers, No space for you or this will take too much time to be succeed
  • Every subject has different lenses, Too much investment in the photography business
  • Photographers are available to do the same job at the cheapest prices.
  • Lots of struggle in the beginning
  • A lot of competition
  • Now everybody takes a picture by mobile who may need a photographer
  • Bla Bla Bla
Conclusion
  • There are an end number of institutions for Engineers, MBA, architectures, teachers, doctors actors, painters, etc. Every year these institutes produce an end number of engineers, MBAs, teachers, doctors etc whereas there are very few institutes for photography and produce fewer photographers every year. Most of them they prefer to be a hobbyist photographer. Being a photographer, there is a huge piece of cake available in the market for all of us.
  • Every business demand a good investment, patience to start a business not only photography, find out which business has no investment, no struggle, no failures and having immediate success etc
  • Every business has competition now, not only photography even hotels, hospitals, Insurance companies, mobile companies, resorts, online businesses, big brands have cut-throat competition.
  • Every business has lots of struggles, even if you are going to get one better job. You may find lots of struggle to settle yourself in a good company. There is no work, job, business which does not have a struggle. Even the smallest shopkeepers spend their entire life running their shop. He is always available in the shop in all the weather conditions, from early morning to late night. His profit depends upon the walk-in customer and someday he does not get good sales too
  • Photographers, doctors, engineers, teachers, tutors, any product seller etc all are available in the market in bulk but becoming a better, famous, efficient professional is really a tough job and required too much patience, investments, market knowledge, better in-depth product knowledge, technical know-how, creative aspects and focused hard and smart work towards your destination. Every better and famous professional has gone through the toughest struggle to reach a better, renowned level. There is no point in feeling negative about the photography career. do your best, deliver better images, do experiments, have good photography knowledge, must know client handling etc
Important observation - All the famous photographers, actors, business tycoon, famous institutions, restaurants, hotels, mobile companies etc have contributed their years and years to reach that stage successfully.
