Safety First, On the location

Whenever we have a contract to shoot, Whenever we are going for pre-planning or while we are shooting. There is one important feature which is always hidden in completing your photography project that is called SAFETY, This safety is not related to your photography equipment, It is hardcore related to the photographer life. I must tell you sometimes we all photographer skipped this feature in our profession. 

We all photographer always dared to shoot in any worst, challenging and any life-threatening situation. I hope you all agree with this. Some photographer always thinks that SHOT SHOULD NOT BE MISSED in any case and any situation. But I do not support this thought at all because life is important than any shot or anything.  We must take care of ourselves spacially on-location shoot.

I am sharing some safety features to follow when you are out to shoot or shooting Industrial, Interiors, pre-weddings and wedding, wildlife, nature, travel etc. I am mentioning a few important safety measures to follow carefully if you really love yourself and your family.

  • We must prefer to wear good branded shoes along with thick shoe sole. They always protect you from nails. spike or any sharp material can hurt your feet very badly. One of my photographer friends got hurt very badly and Doctors advised not to walk at least for 05-06 months. Good branded shoes always protect you from any unexpected accidents. 
  • We must wear a good hat, cap, to protect the head from the heat and harsh sunlight while shooting outside and while shooting the industrial, photographer must wear an industrial helmet as per industry norms. You never know what can be dropped on your head. 
  • Never ever try to shoot from the top if there is no strong, organised platform to shoot spacially while shooting exteriors. Always ask your client to arrange crane to accommodate you. If your client's budget is good then always prefer to use DRONE cameras to shoot from the top. But never ever take a risk to shoot from the top without proper arrangements.
  • When shooting for a wedding then you and your entire team must avoid taking hard drinks (wine and whisky) because sometimes whisky or wine can take you and your team member out of control and It is very dangerous for your career. 
  • When shooting wildlife, then you must follow all the rules and regulation of the national park by heart because sometimes breaking rules can break the relationship with life too. Just follow your guide's instruction. If any shot misses due to any reason then there is always a second chance. 
  • IF you are taking any medication regularly from the past then you must carry your extra medicine and must share your medical condition with your guide, companion etc or whomsoever available with you so that in case of any emergency they can share your correct medical information with the doctors. 
  • Always avoid argues, hot discussion with any strangers while shooting street, travel etc sometimes local people can create a dangerous situation for you like they can break your camera, they can beat you very badly etc. I hope you must have heard this kind of news earlier also. It is better that you must avoid all those crappy things for happy photography.  

Conclusion- Taking precautions, safety measures always create a good habit in you to take the best care of you and your team for a better life and better photography career.
