Fear of MISSING OUT in the photography

The most important fear always faced by the photographer. This fear urge photographer to make mistakes, downfall in the business, losing the clients and gradually photographer disappear eventually from the market. That's really SAD. Today I am writing this article to wake up the photographer those are distracted from other's decision, other's trends, other's mindset etc.  

Most of the photographer follow other photographer's trend, their business diversification, their business model etc. Let's discuss this important fear and try to come out of this if we are truly passionate about photography. 

Today's T r e n d s

  • Nowadays the photographers are selling cameras and photography accessories along with their photography business, I know few photographers have taken a camera manufacturing dealership etc to earn extra money.
  • Photographer selling photography classes to new generations, beginner photographers etc
  • Photographer selling new photography post-processing skill and presets etc
  • Photographer trying to follow other's photographer's genres like trying to get the wedding contract, pre-wedding shoot etc without having good wedding shoot experience. 
  • Photographer looking for other business opportunities to follow etc
  • Photographer looking at other business models to adopt for the survival. 
There are lots of confusion coming up in the photographer's mind every day, these confusions are responsible for the photographer to leave PHOTOGRAPHY or quit photography. Sometimes it a laughing material that being a better photographer and still looking for another business opportunity. They start paying attention to another area of interest, other business model etc 

Here I would like to mention that you must focus on that area, In which you always do best or great and you are preferred for that job by your clients.

You must focus on "what is your primary business and what is your core value" There are some photographer are best in fashion photography, what happens if they chase photography classes and lose their attention on his primary business. On other hand, someone is good at teaching photography, what happens if he started paying attention to the wedding photography. There are no rules, no law like every photographer can shoot all the photography genres, can teach photography classes, can sell photography equipment etc, Please never ever dilute yourself due to losing your attention on your hardcore business of photography.  

The manufacturing company are best in their manufacturing part, Dealers are best in their selling part, teachers are best in their teaching part. We, photographers, are best in our photography part. 

Always remember that Industry will swing you as per the latest trend in the business, will always confuse you to sell their mindset, to sell their requirement etc but BE STICK WITH YOUR PASSION, This attitude will bring more money as compare to divert your attention to some other place. Believe me. 

Conclusion-  You must not waste your time in doing other things which are not directly related to your business. You must follow your TO -DO LIST and must know very well where not to spend your time.
