Quick Mobile Editing Tips

I have been asked one question most of the time by the people who use mobile to shoot their friends, family etc. The question is about how to edit the photos in the mobile? They are not a serious photographer but they shoot for the fun of them are hobby photographer, not interested to buy expensive DSLRs and not interested to open the laptop and edit like a professional or serious photographer. The purpose of asking the question is to edit the photo after taking the photo, look for immediate editing and share on the social platform.

Sometimes, Beginner Photographer and the student does not ask this question but sometimes your friends, family, relatives ask this question and wanna learn simple quick editing skill to make their photos look better for more likes and comment on the social platform but No Professionally editing skills at all.

I am mentioning a few important tips to edit your photos quickly to share on the social network. these are simple steps but can enhance your photos qualities or can make your photos better & better.

Please follow the simple tips for quick editing.

  • Crop the photo, discard the unwanted subject and place your subject in the centre to look more appealing. Crop your images accordingly for better composition.
  • Increase or decrease the highlight and shadows option to see which perform better for your photos. This option will help you to recover the details of your photos.
  • Always decrease the saturation, over-saturation kills your photos, I always prefer low saturated photos but It is up to your taste means which photos do you like most vivid or neutral photos.
  • You must straighten your images, which is the most important requirement, sometimes you do not even notice that the photo is not straightened and sometimes you get a negative comment on the social platform network
  • Brighten your images
  • Decrease the contrast and shadow and feel the difference.
  • Correct your photos along with the WHITE BALANCE option if your mobile has this option.
  • IF do not understand the colour correction initially then leave it and use it as its original colour because sometimes little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
  • Sometimes convert a colour photo into black and white and see the difference. I hope you like it.
  • Mobile manufacturing companies are also providing inbuilt colour filter and preset editing option and this can also help you to correct your photographs.

It also depends upon your practice and it is not one time job. For this specific job you also need to be little creative and can create a difference in the photographs by adding your creative and editing skills both.

Conclusion- In the beginning please adapt simple editing skills and gradually move for the advance level. Do not jump in all the editing option otherwise, this quick jump attitude will kill all your photos. The pro photographers still learning editing skills for the past of 10, 20 years because it ongoing learning process and which has no end. Please have the patience to learn this editing chapter.

Keep experimenting and have a wonderful and happy photography life.
