Creating a Sense of DEPTH

Sometimes creating depth of field in the image is more important than a subject. Whatever genres you are shooting but the depth of field gives extra weightage and milage to your image. I must tell you creating a sense of depth walk parallelly along with photography. Mostly Renowned pro photographer takes a lot of time to create a depth of field and their sense adds great creatives to their image. Even the fashion photographer they travel a lot to find a perfect background to add to their model's photographs. Mostly travel, landscape photographer tries to create depth of field but it is up to the photographer to create a great depth of field in all the photography genres.

Mostly beginner photographer focuses on the subject, blurred background etc but never ever cared about adding depth of field to create more creative images. But I feel they are not taught about adding depth of field or not aware of this content of the photography. Well, today I am writing this article about how you can create a great sense of the depth of field.

let's follow a few important steps to add a great depth of field.

Always use the wide-angle lens- The wide-angle lens always covers almost like foreground, middle ground and background or It covers almost 180 degrees more than human eyes coverage. See the below-posted image. The wide-angle lens covers almost the scenic area.

Hunt for leading Content- Always tries to find the leading lines, same pattern, mirror image etc to add more perspective content to the image. This is something unique point of view when your depth of field attract your viewers more than the main subject. See the below-posted image.

Find out the Fog, Mist, layers etc - Sometimes, the weather creates a natural depth of field. Try to find a mist, dust and fog etc to create magic. see the below-posted image. When shooting landscape, It is easy to find natural content for your images.

Introduce the FOREGROUND- Mostly photographer avoid introducing or adding foreground to the image that means you are discarding the beauty out of the image. When you introduce whatever close to the wide-angle lens, Its always enhance the extra weightage. See the below-posted image

Conclusion- Creating depth of field is required for all the photography genres, It purely depends upon the photographer's creative eyes and thought process, how he wants to portray the scene and how much strong informative content like to convey to his viewers. See the below-posted image. It is a real estate project, I shot to cover the entire Foreground, middle and background to covers all the building together.

Keep experimenting and Have a wonderful and happy photography life to you all.
