Introduce your Updated Version

Outdated and updated are two versions of photography and life also who always act together, one factor introduces after the second-factor dilute fully. I am sure all of you must be noticing upgraded version in mobile, cars, computer, camera, lenses, and end number of other things who always require updates to work efficiently and supports you in a better way. 

This article is not about the introduction of the software updates, but being a photographer we also required updates in our photography skills, kits, understand and delivery of the project too. Mostly photographer hardly updates their skill and never thought of this so far. they shoot the same genre under the same comfort zone with the same photography style & post-processing skills, same shooting style etc.

Recently, I have met a few wedding photographers and noticed their camera and other equipment. Seriously I was shocked because no equipment was maintained at all, cameras were in a pathetic condition with full of scratches, No lens were having a filter to protect the lens's glass. All umbrellas, softboxes and lighting accessories were so uncleaned. I asked them humbly why your photography kit facing this much pain, the answer was "no time to maintain and upgrade" I had no other question to ask. well, leave it. We cannot change people by force, Isn't it?

I hope, we all know that Photographers always attract society and get special treatment in society. To maintain that dignity, we must believe in UPDATES, decorum, Maintainance of the equipment etc. Let's discuss a few important updates for better photography life. 
  • We must maintain the decorum of being a photographer, whatever photography kits & accessories we are using that has to be neat and cleaned, scratchless, properly maintain and handling in a protective way because we are representing the profession called photography and It is a highly stylize profession. 
  • Never ever carry or use outdated equipment spacially camera and lens, You must keep on changing the kit time to time and photography requirement. 
  • Maybe you shoot for the specific genre but must have the habit to try another genre to update your photography knowledge, style etc
  • Must have habit to attend classes, webinars, seminars to update you as a better photographer.
  • Must try to expand your circle with other genres photographer, must plan to go out for a photo walk session. It gives you other photography genres knowledge and also expands your chances to get business enquiries through other photographers.
  • Must spend few hours for reading about new equipment, new techniques, new places, new industries etc.
  • Must spend some time to write your opinion, knowledge to share with other beginner photographers on social platforms. 
  • Attend post-processing webinar to learn new techniques to adapt and use for your professional shoot. 
  • Always try to be fit because fit people always do better things not only in photography but in all the profession. 
  • Try another photography genre like a wedding to wild, product to portraits, street to travel etc.  This updating habit will evolve you as a different and better photographer. 
  • Shoot with another brand camera kit, Must compare & analyse which perform better and why? and update accordingly.
  • Shoot with a third-party lens like Tokina, Sigma, Tamron etc and use it and feel the difference. 
There are endless things to adapt and update yourself for better photography career. We all must try to bring out an updated version to introduce ourselves to others. One more thing to mention that nobody requires an outdated version. Try to be always updated version of you.

Conclusion- Updatation plays a major role in everybody's life because its bring back fruitful results to society. Like Film role to Digital, DSLRs, Mirrorless etc. It changed society. So update is a necessary key to open a new opportunity's door for all of us. All the best to all my readers.
