Shoot the flowers while ISOLATION

This article/blog belongs to those people who are having a small backyard, plants house, gallery of plants, garden in the society, garden on the roof or having small plants in the home or having few artificial plants in the home. Most importantly for those who are having Dslr cameras, digital cameras, smartphones etc and loves photography along with having little knowledge of post-processing too.

This exercise will really help you to learn something great things especially in this crucial time of the lockdown situation (#COVID19), where you have to be at home to protect you from COVID19 epidemic. This is one of the best things to keep your self busy and entertained

Let's follow some important tips to shoot the plants, flowers, garden etc inside the home. Because (Be at Home & Be Safe) we have to be inside our home boundaries.

Best time to shoot- The important timing to shoot the content is early morning, evening, golden hours etc. Start monitoring the light condition when the flowers look more beautiful and appealing, then accordingly plan your shoot. Don't feel bad if the shoot is not done well, Remember there is always re-shoot option available in this lockdown situation.  See the above-posted picture, shot in the morning.

Potted Plants- I guess, nowadays people are staying in flats in the cosmopolitan cities. I do not feel they are having backyards. garden etc. But I am sure that they must be having potted plants in their flats. Not a problem, the photographer can manage these potted plants too. As a photographer, we hardly get everything in systems but we have to create the shot as per our requirements. In this case, shoot the flower head and keep the pot out of the focus or do not include in the framing. See the above-posted photo, It is in the pot and I manage to shoot the flower without including the pot.

Avoid windy weather- Flowers are very fragile and their leaves can be shaken even with the minimum movement of the air and wind. I suggest all the photographer avoid the windy situation to shoot plants and flowers. In this case, your photographs will be shaken, blurred, out of the focus and will not hold the interest of the viewers at all.

Close shots- Closer shots will always create good communication with the viewers and you have no issue to bring plants closer to you. See the above-posted image of the sunflower, It is a potted plant and sees the result of shooting so close.

Creative Part- Good creatives plants, flowers photographs based on the good lenses, creative lighting, camera settings and of course a good sense of photographing that includes your post-processing skills too. Also, it requires a good quality of the plant, flowers etc too. If not able to bring out the good result then please don't mind. Your continuous practice will bring a good result soon or one day.

There are lots of things involved in bringing good results like your overall experience to shoot plants, your macro lenses, and one of the most important things is your creative knowledge. This is the awkward situation (covid19) that we are facing nowadays. Never ever dishearten yourself if the results do not come as per your requirements. there is always another option available and that is Re-shoot with the new hopes

Keep experimenting, Have wonderful & happy photography to you all.
