As much as you involve in learning flashlights into deep, as much as new flashlights technique introduced to you and the important things is, There is an incredible improvement in your photography. It is very important for a photographer to invent new photography tricks for him and for all photography community.

Bounce and direct flashlight are the basics of using a flashlight in low light conditions. But, everything starts with basic education. It is important to know this if beginners are about to start with flash photography.

Let's discuss the few flashlight photography tips. Which really works for a shoot.

What is Bounce Flash- When you do not fire the flashgun directly to the subject. You fire the flashgun somewhere else, like point to the ceiling, wall etc at a specific angle to get a soft light to the subject. That's called bounce flash.
Bounce flash is a good option for indoor, interiors or where are the ceiling is bright. and that can fall the soft bright light to the subject. Bounce flash is not always useful so never try always, but up to a certain extent but whenever used always provides great results.

Bounce flash really works spacially in the small spaces, small industries etc. Sharing one example, I have shot one small factory where there was no space to place the strobe lights. I used one flashgun along with a small reflector which was held by my assistant to bounce the light to the machines.

What is direct Flashlight-  When you fire the flashgun directly in front of your subject, at a 90 degree, called direct flashlight but this gives harsh light along with the poor results. Like amateur photographer uses the camera flash and hit directly to the subject because they wanted to fill the face and shadows, extra brighten the image or where there is a low light situation.

The direct flashlight is not advisable until or unless you don't have a deep knowledge of using flashlight, strobe light in any low light situation. Never ever burn your finger while using a direct flashlight gun. Sometimes these guns backfire to the photographer's career.

When holding flashlight guns in your hands then it is a photographer's wisdom that how and when to use. What will be the result after using the flashgun?  Here, I would like to request to all the beginner and amateur photographer that never ever use the flashgun without proper knowledge of lights. This will kill your shoot and you will never ever know what are the mistakes in the photographs.

Keep experimenting and Have wonderful and happy photography to you all.
