Once you are evolved as a good photographer and having a great sense of photography, having great images in your folder. then What Next? Before we proceed to the next level, we should very well know about our target audience. Are we going to work as a professional photographer for different categories clients or Are we just a hobby photographer and doing photography to capture better images of our friends and family.

If we are a hobby photographer then we need not share our images at a professional platform. Then we should enjoy one genre of photography and that is fun photography. there is a large number of a photographer who shoots for the fun and enjoys handling DSLRs cameras and equipment.

If we are a serious photographer and chosen photography as a career then we have certain important things to follow which is really great for the photography profession. Today I am highlighting a few important points for showcasing your work to your clients.

Correct Photographs- Always share your correct and perfect photograph to the client, correct photograph means share Industrial images to the client who runs industry or factory. Never share travel photographs with real estate clients. this will create confusion for the client. Maybe, you lose the contract. Always share the correct photograph with the correct genre's client.

Never share too much- Your client may spare 10-15 minutes for a meeting with you. In this duration showcase your best 8-10 Images, not more than of it. Keep a small (to the point) and crisp meeting. Understand the client's requirements and plan a shoot if the finalization is made to go ahead.

Never email- Never ever email your portfolio to your clients or someone else. people may use your photographs without even informing you. It better meets the client and shares the work. Nowadays stealing the images has become so easy. Think carefully before you post your great images.

Social media- I would like to mention here, Never ever post your client photographs on facebook, Instagram, twitter etc. IF you want to post a few images then mention into your term and condition column while submitting a quotation to your client. never keep your client into darkness. Post your own personal photographs like you shot for street, travel, wild, nature etc.

Participation- Participate in exhibition and event, show your personal portfolio photographs even hobby photographers can showcase the great images. Please stay connected with event organizers, exhibition hall committee to get the latest updates on the event and photography exhibitions.

launch a website- Once you are pursuing as a professional photographer then the website is a must for sharing all your work, about you and your journey. Also, we must have a habit of updating a website with all new photographs from time to time.

Newsletter- Whenever you update your website, whenever you shot something great for your big clients. Always send a newsletter to your client and invite them to visit your website or the latest images. this will always keep you connected with your clients and good for business

Copyright - Whenever you are posting your great photographs online or on any social media, always put watermark, your logo sign so the no one tries to steal your artwork. It is mandatory for the photographer who posts their great photographs online. Use the reverse image search option to check that, Is there anyone using your photographs without your consent.

Keep experimenting and have wonderful and happy photography to you all.
