Composition always plays a major significant role in photography. But still, there is no correct answer for the correct composition technically. But over a period, I have observed so many images and I can say, which images look good, creative and interesting as a viewer. The better composition is, Which you like and as well as your viewer like. That's a good composition, which is something away from sharpness, proper exposure, focusing etc. but the whole image speaks something better than the technology of the photograph.
let's discuss the few important tips for better composition for better photography.
  • Placement of the content
  • Breathing space
  • Never disturb or interfere with your subject
  • Keep the edges clear
  • to avoid unwanted content.
Placement of the content- As a photographer, We should genuinely know the placement of the content in the photographs. Which content is the hero of the image? proper distance from all the corners along with leaving a breathing space, create a better image. Like capturing moon with a wide-angle lens leaves an uninteresting image to the viewer. You should know the interesting content along with the interesting composition, both go together to make a better image.

Breathing space- This is the most important pillar in the composition of your photographs. Always try to give empty or breathing space in the photograph. This also helps to write something important on the photograph, when it is going to printing for brochures, posters etc. Also, it conveys the message clear and loud to your viewer.

Never Disturb or interfere with the subject-  While shooting, when something or your main subject is disturbing with another content fully or partially. Which can create a distraction for your viewer easily and leaves an uninteresting image to the viewers? This is your primary job to capture your subject without interfering with other content. Like you are capturing the trees along the river but the reflection of the trees is disturbed. The whole image is distracted badly. Please shot with proper distance and planning and take care of all the distraction elements.

Keep the edges clear-  Shoot in a way that every content should be positioned far enough away from the photo's edges. maintaining the proper distance from all the edges means to create a built-in frame to draw a viewer's attention or focus on the image. Actually, it is very important, Yours all the photographs content should be positioned far away from the edges of the photograph. This will help your viewer to pay more attention to the content. Sometimes it is difficult to have clear edges from all the corners. In this case, shoot wisely and add something interesting element on the edges that give a mileage to the photographs. Add intentionally important elements on the edges to make composition very interesting. Maintain the balance between adding important content intentionally and keeping the clear edges. Which will make your composition very interesting.

Avoid Unwanted content or element- It is also very important to know which unwanted content may spoil the composition of the photograph. It all depends upon your true experience and experiments of photography. When you compare your current work with the old or previous work then you come to know exactly. Sometimes adding content unnecessary can create another story, which may be hard to define by the photographer. So plan before pressing the shutter button. It really matters. Keep your eyes open and observe all the content so deeply.

Perfect composition along with adding interesting or avoiding interesting content can give you better composition and can spoil the better composition. It all depends on your experiences and experiments.

Keep experimenting and have happy photography to you all.
